Pink Stay at the Westin June 20th - August 31st and raise money for breast Cancer in Japan

Run for the Cure Foundations very successful Pink Month Brunch at The Westin Tokyo in May raised a generous 1,420,965 yen for the nonprofit. Tokyo English Life Line (TELL) is still accepting applications for the Fall Telephone Counselors Training Program that starts on September 12th until November 28th. Sessions are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6.30 – 9.30pm. No prior counseling experience is needed. Applicants must be fluent in English and over 21. The training costs 35,000 yen. This is a night time program accredited by Life Line International with sessions held every Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6.30 – 9.30pm. The type of counseling offered on the Life Line is Client Centered Counseling and based on the principles of Carl Rogers. No prior counseling experience is needed as this course provides all the necessary training in the skills required for this role. Applicants must be fluent in English and over 21. This is a great opportunity for members of the community to take part in meaningful work within Tokyo that is both challenging and rewarding. The standard cost of training is 35,000 yen (which partially covers the cost of training each individual). This amount can be adjusted in cases of special need; and payment can also be made in installments. Get your company volunteer committee, school group or friends to join JEN’S Niigata weekend volunteer community development project => stay 2 or 3 nights in a small time and help elderly farmers who are still suffering from the Niigata Earthquake.
Harvest trips are scheduled for the fall: 9/18-9/21, 10/9-10/12, 11/6-11/8, 11/13-11/15
Specific contents of each trip vary but include activities such as rice or sweet potato harvesting, joining local festivals or picnics and meeting with people in the community.
